Description

We are in the city of Granada, in 1278. At the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains. We are master architects in charge of the construction of this great and beautiful project: The Alhambra. The builders come from all over the Iberian and Arab lands and they all want to demonstrate their skills, fortunately you have the knowledge of different currencies to build pavilions with all of them, even if they insist on accepting only their local currency.

During the game we will build our Alhambra in turns, we will determine if we want to generate income in the market and in what type of currency of the four available, we will acquire pavilions to build among 54 different pieces in six different types, but be careful! Because if we cannot build new pavilions we will have to spend precious actions on remodeling to keep our structure growing, keep in mind that the outer wall also has to grow while we build the inner pavilions, see what type of currency is in high demand to discover the intentions of your rival master architects, erect towers, plant gardens, build beautiful arcades or large warehouses or with religious motifs.

Through 3 scoring rounds, try to get the majority of each type of pavilion to score as many points as possible; in addition, the longest outer wall segment will also score points depending on its length. The game ends when there are no new pavilions left to build.

Alhambra is a game designed by Dirk Henn, illustrated by Jörg Asselborn, Jo Hartwig, Patricia Limberger and Christof Tisch. Released in 2003, it won the Spiel des Jahres of the same year, securing its place in the collections of many players for its simple and elegant mechanics.

It can be played with up to 6 players, which gives it a lot of flexibility in groups of different numbers of players. It is easy to learn to play but has great depth and variability within the games. The Game of the Year award guarantees its place on family tables around the world.
