Description
While Farmer Henry enjoys red wine in his colossal newly built cellar, the piggies in the barn are also having a party! As mischievous as they are, they are very organized when it comes to forming groups for games. Recruit your team carefully, but not too slowly!
Pick-a-Dog (originally published as Formissimo) features the same gameplay as Pick-a-Pig, with the only difference being that the dog snouts in one game are replaced by pig snouts in the other. A single game supports 2 to 5 players, while combined games support up to eight players.
To set up the game, lay out 30 cards in a grid (49 cards with 6 to 8 players) and deal one card face down to each player. Each card has five attributes, with each attribute having two states: big/small, light/dark, one/two arms, sunglasses/no sunglasses, and popcorn/no popcorn. (As mentioned above, combining the two games adds a sixth attribute: pig/dog nose.) Someone shouts "Go!", so everyone looks at their cards in their hand. Players then begin drawing cards from the grid and stacking them in their hand. The card they pick up must either be identical to the top card in their hand or differ from the top card in only one way. So as you pick up cards, the attributes of the top card will continue to change, forcing you to look for combinations in new ways.
When a player thinks he can no longer collect any cards, he shouts "Stop!". The round ends and all players check their piles of cards. If someone makes a mistake while collecting cards, that player does not keep any of the cards collected in that round. If the player who stopped the round made no mistakes, he gains an extra card (two cards when playing with 6-8). However, if he stopped the round when he could have collected more cards, he loses all the cards he collected during the round.
Whoever has collected the most cards when the game ends wins!
Fast! Look for a letter that is IDENTICAL or with only A DIFFERENCE compared to your last letter! Stop the game when you believe you can't control more! Concentrate, any mistake can cost you everything you won in the round! A quick and fast observation game that can be played in a group or alone. A classic that couldn't be missed in our catalog or in any toy library!
