Description
Players take on the role of dwarves. As miners, they are in a mine, hunting for gold. Suddenly, a pickaxe comes down and breaks the mine lamp. The saboteur has struck. But which of the players are the saboteurs? Will they find the gold, or will the saboteurs' diabolical actions lead them to it first? After three rounds, the player with the most gold is the winner.
With the help of the Dwarf Cards, players are assigned a role: miner or saboteur. The roles are kept secret and are only revealed at the end of the round.
The Start Card and three Goal Cards are placed on the table, each seven cards away from the Start Card and one card between each Goal Card. The Goal Cards are placed face down. The gold is on one of the Goal Cards, but no one knows which one.
Players hold cards in their hands. On a player's turn, they must do one of three things: place a Path Card in the mine, play an Action Card in front of a player, or pass.
Path Cards form paths that lead to Goal Cards. Path Cards must be played next to an already played Path Card. All paths on the Path Card must match those on the already played cards, and Path Cards cannot be played sideways.
The miners are trying to build an uninterrupted path from the Start Card to the Goal Card, while the saboteurs are trying to prevent this. However, they should not be too obvious about this, so as not to be discovered immediately.
Action Cards can be placed in front of any player, including yourself. Action Cards allow players to help or hinder each other, as well as gain information about Objective Cards.
When a player places a Path Card that hits gold, the round ends. The miners win and receive cards with gold pieces as a reward.
The round also ends if no gold is achieved. In this case, the saboteurs have won and received the gold pieces.
After the Gold Cards have been dealt, the next round begins. The game ends at the end of the third round, and the player with the most gold pieces is the winner.
You are in the mine looking for gold. Suddenly, your peak appears broken and the light disappears. The saboteur has come into action. But, who are you among all the players? Will you find the gold or will it be possible for the saboteurs who his dark actions hinder you? The player who achieves more oro at the end of the match wins. A classic, basic game!
