It's the second Core Booster of Series 14, following Chaos Origins, and the first Core Booster to depict an anime character who is not Yami Yugi — that being Joey Wheeler (Yugipedia) . The set introduces the "Ashtra" archetype, the Atlantis, City of the Sea Dragon, and Dark Time Wizard series (Yugipedia) , and adds new support for "Adamancipator," "Destiny HERO," "HERO," "Jinzo," and "Red-Eyes" archetypes (Yugipedia) .
Joey's new cards revolve around the Dark Time Wizard Quick-Play Spell — a risk/reward card with searching and coin-toss effects. The set also leans into Aster Phoenix with reimagined Destiny HERO cards, and a new Atlantis/Daedalus ocean-themed archetype that turns cards into "Umi" while on the field.
